OOTP 20 is a baseball fan’s dream come true, officially licensed by MLB, MiLB, and the MLBPA, and the only game ever to win the Metacritic PC Game of the Year Award twice. Put yourself in the shoes of a general manager and/or manager to shape the future or rewrite the history of your favorite real-world baseball team. Create the team the way you want it. Begin a new career with your favorite 2019 MLB team, or go back nearly 150 years and manage any team from the past! You can even create your own imaginary baseball universe.

The brand new 2019 MLB roster set will include all projected Opening Day MLB rosters, as well as the entire minor league system, including rookie leagues and future draft classes. On top of this, 12 international leagues (Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Australia, Italy, the Netherlands, Mexico, Cuba and new in OOTP 20: Germany, Spain, France and the Czech Republic) and several international and US independent leagues return to OOTP 20 with accurate and projected 2019 rosters.

Discover new talent, draft the next superstar, negotiate with free agents, engage in trade talks with other teams, create a dynasty, and lead a franchise into an infinite future! As a manager, take a more hands-on approach by establishing your team’s lineups, pitching staffs, in-game strategy, and calling the shots from the dugout. You can manage your league at a high level, or you can play each game in the redesigned 3D game mode, managing play by play or pitch by pitch.

Total Extreme Wrestling 2020

The WWE games have had one GM Mode or another based on running their flagship shows since the PS2 days. Still, they’re a little too polished to accurately represent the world of professional wrestling. Where are the TV contracts and sponsorship talks? Are the prima donna wrestlers dissatisfied with their opponents? The referees and other personnel required to keep things running?

Total Extreme Wrestling has had all that and more. Since its original incarnation as Extreme Warfare in 1995, the series has received intermittent new releases. The latest entry, Total Extreme Wrestling 2020, is regarded as the best of the bunch. The action is told entirely through text and statistics, but there are plenty of options to keep people guessing. Players can create their own storylines, give their wrestlers gimmicks, and work out their flaws in the name of TV ratings. The game is available for PC and can be downloaded from Steam or developer Grey Dog Software’s website.

Tennis Elbow Manager 2

Tennis Elbow Manager 2 is one of the Best Sports Management Games. You take control of a tennis coach and his player in this tennis manager game, and your goal is to reach the top of the world rankings, stay there as long as possible, and win as many Grand Slam titles as possible. The game also includes a full 3D match engine, allowing you to play tennis as much as you want in the Training Club. Furthermore, you can take control of your player during the tournament 3D matches. A little warning though: the management part will get a bit unbalanced from this, as some skills will be of lesser importance when you play all by yourself.

The match engine is based on the Tennis Elbow 2013 one, already acclaimed by many players as the most realistic tennis game, but with new and improved physics for the ball, court, strikes, and players! The AI is also greatly improved, with new player strategies and more realistic behaviors. Globally, this gives an advanced tennis simulation, more realist but also more demanding than TE2013, even more faithful to the real tennis spirit, which will give you a hard time mastering.

Motorsport Manager

F1 Manager 2022 is the newest and most flashy entry in the motorsport management genre, but it only includes the base game. Frontier Developments sadly discontinued support for the game just two months after it was released. It took fan outrage to keep the updates coming, but it will eventually be up to fans to provide them via moderators. If that news leaves people cold, they might be happier with Motorsport Manager, which is available on iOS, Android, PC, macOS, Linux, and the Nintendo Switch.

What Motorsport Manager lacks in licenses, it makes up for in support. The game has received consistent updates and a range of DLC since its original release in 2017. Playsport Games’ product lets players develop their cars and appoint drivers and engineers to get ahead. Though they have to be careful, as it’ll throw in the odd curveball to test players’ skills and in-game reputation. Each port is solid, but the PC and Switch versions are arguably the best with their extra tracks and exclusive circuits.

Legend Bowl

Despite what it looks like, Legend Bowl plays like a finely polished modern game. Controls are responsive, movement is clean and crisp, and there’s quite a bit of depth to the actions you can perform. Running the ball is pretty simple. When using a controller, there’s a sprint/power button that speeds up your runner when tapping rapidly. Holding the button down – A on an Xbox controller — will see your player use power to attempt to break tackles. There’s juking, cuts, and spins as well, making the running game a fun facet of the gameplay.

Throwing the ball can be fun as well, and finally feels as flushed out as the running game. From a positive standpoint, you can throw the ball with a variety of power thanks to the power/accuracy meter your QB has. Depending on the play will determine how you want to throw the ball, and requires a precise release to make sure the ball goes where you want. It’s a feature that will certainly promote practice and skill over time rather than just getting lucky on your throws.

Sensible World Of Soccer

At the end of the day, if a fan is looking for a different soccer simulation, there’s always this old school classic. Originally made for the Commodore Amiga, Sensible Software’s Sensible World of Soccer did what no other soccer management had done up to that point. It included every major soccer team in the world, from Manchester United in the United Kingdom to Asante Kotoko in Ghana. There are 1,500 teams and a total of 27,000 players.

Players can buy, trade and cut players to perfect their side, and take them to the top. Or at least make an attempt. If they have a bad run, the chairman can fire them or send them to a lower league team to try again. As simple as it looks now, it was cited as one of the world’s most important games alongside Doom, Tetris, and Super Mario Bros 3 by Stanford University in 2007. Previously included in Games With Gold’s Xbox 360 selections, the game is now available on PC via, as well as MS-DOS and Amiga emulators, with active online leagues and decades’ worth of mods and updates to customize the game to one’s liking.
