Despite having only 12 episodes, Z/X: Ignition earned a name for itself as a trading card anime. Portals to parallel universes begin to appear, and weird species begin to infiltrate the human world. Five invading forces emerge from these five Black Points to battle each other and destroy the other timelines.
While the ending of Z/X: Ignition is obvious, the original tale blends supernatural and action aspects to create a unique story. Furthermore, the action is fast-paced and enjoyable, and the fights are very wonderfully depicted.

While several card-based anime debuted in the 2000s, Chihayafuru, which aired from 2011 to 2012, is more contemporary. Chihaya Ayase, a tomboy in the novel, is introduced to the card game karuta by transfer student Arata Wataya. They all join the game along with Arata’s pal Taichi Mashima.
Despite the fact that the three separate, Chihaya meets Taichi again in high school. Chihaya aspires to be the greatest karuta player and yearns to see Arata once more. Karuta is a game that was modeled after the Hundred Poets style of Japanese poetry and can only be won by matching the first line of the poem with its corresponding second line. This anime is distinctive and instructive because it combines trading cards and literature.

Takara Tomy created an anime adaptation of the manga Duel Masters from 2006 to 2007. The story revolves around Shobu Kirifuda, a young man who excels at the Duel Masters card game. Shobu aspires to be like his father, a great dueler known as a Kaijudo Master. Shobu must win a local tournament to achieve this aim.
Duel Masters is fairly similar to other anime of the same genre in that the protagonist is a young boy who merely wants to get great at the game. This series is less well-known, most likely because it is aimed at younger viewers and has a simpler plot. Even seasoned aficionados of the genre should give it a shot.
